Week Note, 22

251 words about life — 06:40 · 6th Jun 2021

This week:

  • I’ve slept badly in the mini-heatwave—so bought a fan that should arrive today, yay!

  • Lucien and I have been imagining what the video game Portal 3 could be like—knowing full well that Valve is unlikely to make one

  • we got the baby carriage (or perambulator as the silly British would like to call it)—this concludes all the major stuff we needed to get before the baby

  • rewatched Hannah Gadsby’s Nanette, with Lucien this time and then proceeded to book tickets for their show next year—Nanette is my favourite comedy/stand-up of all time

  • watched Bo Burnham’s Inside—okay, so I enjoyed it but it felt like the answer to the question, “What if newgrounds.com was a person?”

  • I started playing The Surge, a recursive1 action RPG—this is actually my first recursive so the learning-curve of frequent deaths is new to me and I’m a bit stuck on the first boss, oh well

  • favourite song: Angel by Sarah McLachlan

  • currently reading: Watching the English by Kate Fox

  • Covid-19 cases (UK): 4,527,577 (6th June)2
