Week Note, 27

212 words about life — 06:50 · 11th Jul 2021

This week:

  • Katy’s itchy hands and feet got us sent to Addenbrooke’s to test for Intrahepatic Cholestasis—her liver values are elevated so we’ll see what they decide

  • I had a 1:1 with Mike Monteiro—which turned out to be his last one for the year and helped give me some perspective on my work in this industry

  • I’m driving in the UK now—after a couple of laps in a nearby parking lot I’m now out on the road, still getting used to driving on the left-hand side though

  • after an initial chat I’m having an official interview with FutureGov Ltd tomorrow—and I’m quite excited about this one

  • I started and finished: Artificial Unintelligence: How Computers Misunderstand the World by Meredith Broussard

  • I started and finished: The Ethical Carnivore: My Year Killing to Eat by Louise Gray

  • favourite song: Rescue by Times of Grace

  • currently reading: Welcome Home: A Guide to Building a Home For Your Soul by Najwa Zebian

  • Covid-19 cases (UK): 5,107,780 (11th July)1
